Privacy Policy

Your app content stays private.

Last updated: May 30, 2026

Overview

Lockit is a task-based app access manager. It helps you manage app access by using Apple's Screen Time APIs, local built-in tasks, custom task settings, and optional authentication features.

Lockit is designed to keep your configuration on your device. We do not read the content of managed apps, such as messages, feeds, photos, files, browser pages, or other in-app content.

Information Lockit Handles

Lockit may store the settings you create in the app, including app control groups, selected app or category tokens, schedules, whitelist settings, always-block settings, math task preferences, custom task titles, custom task options, completion rules, task progress, temporary unlock state, and advanced options.

These settings are used to make Lockit work on your device. App and category selections are represented through Apple's Screen Time framework tokens, not by Lockit reading the private content inside those apps.

Authentication

If you enable password protection, Lockit stores password-related credentials securely using Apple's Keychain. If you use Face ID or Touch ID, biometric authentication is handled by iOS. Lockit does not receive or store your biometric data.

Backup and Restore

If you export your configuration, Lockit creates a backup file based on the settings stored in the app. You control where that exported file is saved or shared. Anyone with access to that file may be able to view or import the included configuration.

Custom task progress is stored separately from custom task definitions. Configuration exports are lightly encoded to reduce casual inspection and accidental edits, but exported files should still be treated as private files.

Data Sharing

Lockit does not sell your personal information. Lockit does not use your managed app content for advertising. Lockit does not share your app configuration with third-party advertisers.

Children and Family Use

Lockit may be used by individuals or families to manage app access. The person configuring the device is responsible for choosing appropriate settings and permissions.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Lockit changes or when legal requirements change. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
